Tech Industry Gold student competition will showcase on virtual platform in the spring

As the South Event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tech Partnership Degrees are committed to providing students with a virtual platform to present their competition entries to a panel of employers. The date of the virtual competition will be held in April/May and will be confirmed in due course.

We ask students to create a video that would be the same duration as their planned live presentation. As students are now in different locations they can have just one member of the team presenting or if they wish they can create a video with more than one team member.

We have created a video with ‘hints and tips’.

Please submit videos by midnight on 12th April to [email protected].

Here is a reminder of the competition details:

First Year Competition

Focusing on a choice of industry sector, the challenge for students is to devise a solution that exploits emerging technologies to help businesses maximise their contribution to one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

1. Each university may put forward 2 x first-year teams per course, i.e. if you run ITMB and SEfB, you may enter 4 teams, but not more than 2 per course.  They can, of course, be mixed teams.   Teams can also send in any supporting materials.
