Jenny Taylor wins Apprentice Champion of the Year in the London Region Awards

The National Apprenticeship Awards 2020 showcases success stories and the diverse range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships. These awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the very best employers, apprentices and apprentice champions across the country.

The Apprentice Champion Award is for individuals who champion apprenticeships with enthusiasm and whose passion for apprenticeships is exceptional.

We are delighted that Jenny Taylor, UK Foundation Manager of IBM and Tech Partnership Degrees Employer Board member, has been named Apprentice Champion of the Year in the London Region Awards. Jenny was nominated by her colleagues at IBM.

In addition to being on the Employer Board, Jenny is also Chair of the Tech Industry Gold Degree Apprentices Community and Chair of the Trailblazer Group for the BSc Digital and Technology Solutions level 6 degree apprenticeship.

Jenny says, “ I am overwhelmed and incredibly proud to be named as a National Apprenticeship Awards regional winner. As a passionate advocate of the opportunities which apprenticeships provide for young people of all backgrounds, I am thrilled that my advocacy of apprenticeships has been recognised. My experience of apprenticeships has shown me that the immense value of relevant on-the-job skills training with accompanying business expertise is the optimum path to future career success.

Apprenticeships can change lives and in the tech sector new apprenticeship opportunities are helping to close the digital skills gap: so vital to the UK economy in these challenging times.

Tech Partnership Degrees congratulates Jenny and thanks her for the ongoing support she gives to the Tech Industry Gold degree apprenticeship and degree programmes.
