With students – and their parents – more concerned than ever about the value of Higher Education, imagine finding a degree that has employers queueing up to employ its graduates, into highly paid careers that make a real difference to society.
A degree that prepares students better than any other subject for starting their own business.
A degree where 84% of students achieve 1sts or 2:1s. ¹
This is the world of Tech Industry Gold – industry accredited degrees, delivered by 15 universities and supported by 200 employers across the economy.
One of the unique experiences that helps deliver these outstanding results is the Tech Industry Gold student/employer event. Twice a year, leading digital employers come together with around 200 undergraduates in a day of development activities, team competitions and inspiring insights.
Students coming to the next event, on 13th March, will meet employers such as Air Products, Barclays, BT, Deloitte, EY, FDM, GSK, IBM, Metomic, QuickSilva, Salesforce, Telefónica, Ten10, Ultima Business Solutions, VMWare and many more, large and small, who care about the talent coming into the digital workforce. Each university team will face a panel of business judges, presenting ideas about the use of Artificial Intelligence for business innovation in the future. As well as identifying the most promising ideas, the employers provide feedback to each group on business viability, presentation skills and teamwork, and technical creativity. Other activities taking place throughout the day include speed networking, employability skills training and inspiring talks from industry.
Employers, universities and students alike value the Tech Industry Gold experience:
“These are fantastic events. To any company who is not here – I would say, what a missed opportunity”.
Charles Hardy, LinkedIn
“Tech Industry Gold accredited degrees offer students a fantastic way to develop the skills needed in a competitive workforce. Since the start of the programme, students have achieved excellent results compared to other business/tech degrees.”
Dr. Kevin G Doyle, University of the West of England
