Class of 2021: I’m ready for a graduate role

Name: Juhi J Sharma
Degree Title: BSc (Hons) Information Technology Management for Business
University: The University of West London

Here’s Juhi’s story:

How did you find out about Tech Industry Gold accredited degrees?

I found out about the degree through online research during my time applying to university courses via UCAS, as I wanted to do an accredited degree. Although, I got a better understanding of tech industry gold degrees after starting my course.

What was the best moment of your degree experience?

I can’t pick just one, but the top few moments of my degree would be achieving The Best Female Student Award in my first year and taking part in Tech Allies Network’s 2019 Summer Institute, visiting various companies, and learning new skills. I found this opportunity through TechSkills, which accredits degrees as Tech Industry Gold. Last but not the least, making ever-lasting relationships with peers and mentors.

What was the most challenging experience?

I didn’t find any aspect of my degree to be challenging as my university delivered the content really well.

What would you say now to yourself before you enrolled in your degree?

I would say this is the perfect degree for you because this degree offered various skills from data analytics, marketing, accounting, programming, and business strategy.

What would you say to anyone considering a Tech Industry Gold degree?

Go for it! It will open up opportunities and broaden your network. This degree will also provide a good range of industry-relevant skills.

What are you planning to do this summer?

This summer I will be looking for a graduate-level job and building my skills via Linkedin courses.

What are your career plans?

I hope to find a career that has a mixture of business and technology elements – the best of both worlds. The types of roles that I am interested in are Business Analyst, Tech/Business Consultant, or Project Manager.

Who inspires you?

Passionate people who achieve their dreams inspire me.

Anything else to add?

I am currently looking for graduate opportunities in London.
